The God Must Be Crazy

Hi everyone, I'm going to talk about a movie.

The movie title is "The God Must Be Crazy." I have never watched the movie before. It was interesting. First, people who don't use English are found a coke bottle. I was suprised at they use it with diffent and various ways. I thought we should give them more empty bottles. Maybe it makes them happy. Next, a man who can speak English (I couldn't catch his name) is so funny. His car is so crazy. It almost broke. If I am a girl who ride the car together, I don't want to ride the car. I would like to walk, and I don't want to spend with the man. If  I spend with the man, I think my items are broken by him.

Japanese Fireworks

Hi everyone, how was your long weekend?

I'm going talk about last Saturday.

First, I went to a pancake restaurant with Mana at lunch. We ate pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausages, and bacon. It was delicious so we ate everything!

Next, we went shopping. We bought beach sandals. It was good price.

After that, we went to granville island and met some JHS students and a JHS teacher. His name is Paul. He is a English teacher of JHS. We talked about life in Canada. I spent a good time. I'm looking forward to meet him again next April.

Finally, we went to English bay to watch fireworks. We met Nanami and her roommate there. After that, her roommate's friends came there so we watched fireworks together. It was Japanese fireworks. It was so beautiful and amazing. I cried. Someone said "your country is amazing." I'm so happy.

Today, team Japan wins 2014 HONDA Celebration Of Light!!!

My Thoughts about this class

Hi everyone! I'm going to talk about my class.

I like this class. When EASL class started, I was so nervous because there were foreign students and a teacher, and I'm shy. However, I spent a great time in the class. The reason is because they are so friendly. First, our teacher, Michael often tell a joke. He had us all laughing so I had fun. I like Michael because he always use simple English. When I couldn't understand, he gave us example so the class was easy to understand for me. Thanks to him, my English skill is better than before. Next, Chinese classmates are nice. My speaking skill was very very bad so I was afraid to talk with Chinese classmate in English. However, they are kind so I could talk with them. We are good friends now.

I'm so happy to meet you guys!! I will never forget the class. I think I will miss you guys soon...so I hope we play with again!!!

USA Fireworks

Hi everyone!

I went to English bay and saw fireworks with Mana last Saturday. This is not only vancouver's biggest event, but it's also the largest offshore fireworks competition in the world. July 26 was American fireworks. The show was amazing!!! I took a movie. What a beautiful fireworks!!! I was suprised at the show. I always think Japanese fireworks is best, but I'm worried about Japanese show on August 2. I hope that Japanese show is more wonderful than American show.

Next show is French!! I'm going to see the show!!!

Movies

Hi everyone, how is your weekend?

I'm going to talk about last Saturday. I went to Manas' house. I watched movie with Mana and Nanami. We watched "Mask" and "Toy Story." I watched "Mask" at the first time. I didn't know this story, but it was interesting. "Toy Story" is one of my favorite movie. I like characters in the movie. Then we ate sushi. We took out it at Kojima Sushi. I thought it's delicious. I like it. We also ate ice cream. It is unhealthy, but I love ice cream. I spent a great time, thank you Mana and Nanami!

Any Regrets

I'm going to write about my regrets. First, when I was junior high student, I joined brass band club. Then I could participate in a ensemble contest, but I didn't participate. If I participate the contest, parhaps I got a evaluation about that. Second, when I had long hair, I cut hair short. I regretted it just a little. Third, when I was high school student, I didn't study hard. I didn't like study so much, but I had a university entrance exam. Then I want to enter the exam, but the time was gone. My skill was too bad so I was afraid lest I should fail. I didn't try the exam. I'm a cowardly girl. I think I should try everything.

My Sisters

Hi everyone,

I'm going to talk about my host sister and my real sister.

I have a host sister. Her name is Caelyn. She is 7 years old, and she is active girl. She learns to play the guitar, swimming, and dancing every week. She is good at play monkey bar. She likes watch movies, and her favorite movie is FROZEN. I like it, too, so we sometimes sing FROZENs songs together. We often play vally ball. She is always smiling. She is so cute!!!

I also have a real younger sister. Her name is Hiyori. She is 16 years old, and she is selfishness girl. She is high school student. She joins dance club in her high school. She is good at draw a picture. She is studing hard for the university entrance examination. I hope she will pass the examination. We don't fall out, and we are both close. When I come back Japan, I want to play with her.

Today I'm going to talk about my favorites. My hobby is dancing and listen to music. I like K-pop(Korean pops). My favorite K-pop group is SHINee. Do you know SHINee? Thay are so cool!!! I love them because I love thair songs, dance, voice, character, and so on. I love thair dance so I often practice thair dance. I recomend the song, "Replay." This song is thair first song. I'll show you the songs music video if you want. I also like go to concert. It drives me crazy.

Korean Restaurant And Shopping

Hi guys,

I went to a Korean restaurant with Hikari last weekend. I recommended to Hikari there. There are delicious tofu soup. We can chose spicy level. I choose reguler, and Hikari choose hot. These were delicious. I want to try extra hot next time. After that, we went to shopping. I bought a one peace and sandals. I spent a nice time. Thanks, Hikari!

New Friends

Hi guys,

I'm going to write about last Friday. I went downtown with my Japanese friends. There are Korean people who are Douglas college student so I could make Korean friends!!! We went to Japanese izakaya, and my Japanese friends and I introduced Japanese dishes. We tell each other about culture, lunguage, famous foods, recomend place, and so on. I love korean foods and music, and I interested in Korea so it was so excited. The Korean students are going to go back Korea after two weeks. I'm so sad, but we promised that if we travel each country, we show own country. It sounds fun! I can't wait!!

Communication Breakdowns

Hi everyone,
I'm going to write about communication breakdowns. When I talk with friends or family, sometimes I only say phrases. My friends also do that. Maybe they think I understand what want to say. I always guess what they want to say. I often almost understand, but sometimes I can't understand. It makes me confuse. Then there is a communication breakdown. We stop talking, and we ask to each other.

It waste time so we should talk with sentences. It is important not only feel but also think how to understand someone.

Dance Member

Hi guys!! I went to SFU and Korean restaurant last Saturday with my friend who are dance club member. Last Thursday I made friends in the club and we danced. Then we decided to go there. First, we went to SFU. The university is the second most famous university in Canada. It is so big. We studied at the university. One of friend is Canadian Korean so he teach us English. I spent nice time. Next, we ate Korean foods. I ate soon tofu, tteokbokki, and Korean pancake. It was so delicious. I like not only Korean popular music but also Korean food. Finally, we ate maccha green tea parfait. It is fattening but delicious. I love maccha. I think maccha is the most delicious food in the world. Needless to say I was so happy. It was so fun. We have dance lesson next Tuesday so I'll lose weight.

Making Friends

I will write about how to make friends at Douglas College. First, you should make friends in your class. It is easy for you to talk with classmates at the first time. Then you are better talk on ahead. You can talk about self-introduction with new friends. Next, you should keep smiling. If you talk with a serious look, your new friends will feel not good so smile is important. Finally, you are better plan playing with new friends. It is good way to spend a good time each other. I think most important thing is "don't be shy." We can do it!

My Favorite Celebration

Hi everyone, how is the weekend?
I write about my favorite celebration. My favorite celebration is Tanabata. Tanabata is a Japanese star festival, originating from the Chinese Qixi Festival. This is celebrated in July 7. According to legend, the Milky Way separates lovers (Orihime and Hikoboshi) and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day. Nowadays, we write on a piece of paper about wishes and decolate bamboo bush. When I was child, I wrote about a wish, but I don't remember that. In my hometown, there is a Tanabata Festival every year. I like it. I want to join the festival.

Pet Peeves

I write about pet peeves. There are pet peeves in my life. For example,

1. It drives me crazy when buses don't come on time.
2. It drives me crazy when someone talks irresponsible.
3. It bugs me when my sister uses my clothes without asking me first.
4. It bugs me when my mother says me "not womanly."
5. It drives me crazy when my friends don't come on time if we are going to play together.
6. It drives me crazy when my father pretends to know.
7. It bugs me when someone speaks to me while I talk with other parson.
8. It bugs me when someone asks me one question again and again.
9. It drives me crazy when someone makes noise while I study.
10. It bugs me when someone makes noise while I sleep.

I think I'm earnest so I don't like irresponsible action. However, these almost don't makes me angry and when I angry, it doesn't show on my face.

Accomplishment

When I was a junior high school student, I tried to study hard for a high school entrance exam because there was a high school which I want to go. The high school level was high for me so I had to do my best. I tried to study harder than my friends. I became a class leader and a club leader. I went to junior high school everyday.  I tried to be perfect. I don’t like study but I really wanted to accept by the high school. Finally, I accepted by the high school. If you really want to success, you should try to do harder than other people.

Father's Day

Hi, I had a good weekend :) Weather was bad so I almost stayed home. I went outside only in the evening on Saturday. I went to Metrotown with Mana. We bought a father's day present for our host father. She bought GODIVA's chocolates. Few days ago, Hikari bought GODIVA's chocolates for her host father, too. My host father maybe doesn't like sweets, so I bought coffee beans at Starbucks Coffee. He always drinks a cup of coffee so I thought he will be glad. By the way, I can't eat chocolates but I tasted a GODIVA's chocolate. It was delicious.



I give the present just now!! He glad to this. He looks happy so I'm very happy :)))

Polite

Hi, I think Japanese are fussy about manners. There are a lot of polite and rude. For example,

1. exchange bows with a parson when you meet the person who meets for the first time
2. do not talk when something foods hold in your mouth
3. do not put the elbow on a table during a meal
4. say "Itadakimasu" before the meal
5. say "Gochisosamadeshita" after the meal
6. hold a rice bowl when you eat
7. arrive on time
8. greet somebody
9. remove your shoes when you enter a home
10. bring foods when you go someone's home

There are much more polite in Japan. I think there is culture differences between how to do polite action but this action meaning is maybe same. I don't know other countries polite well. Are these polite different from your country? I want to know more!!

Soccer Game

    It was fan this weekend. I went to Lougheed Town Centre with Mana and Chihiro on Saturday. We ate Korean food. It was delicious. I like spicy food and Korea. I like Korean food, Korean artist, Korean fashion and so on. Today, I watched soccer game with Hikari, Haruki and Chihiro. Our friend, Ryosuke played soccer. He is good soccer player but he looked like tired today. After that, we went to a pancake restaurant. Canadian foods are delicious but these are fattening so I ordered salad. However, the salad was too much for me so we shared the salad. We talked long time and I'm interested in this stories. I don't know how to post pictures so I post it next time. Thank you guys!!!

My Introduction

    Hi, I'm Kinari. I live in New westminster and I come from Mito city in Japan. My dream is to work at hotel in Japan. I like to help people and kind for them. I also like Disney so I want to work at the Tokyo Disney resort official hotels. I worked at the Tokyo Disney resort official hotel at part time job. It was so exciting but there aren't many foreign guests. I'm studying abroad and studying English now so I want to use English at my job in future. I also want to foreign guests know Japanese culture. I'm interested in Ryokan. Ryokan has hot spring and Japanese style room. It has Japanese Omotenashi, too. There are many foreign guests at Ryokan. I'm confusing now. I want to work at the Tokyo Disney resort official hotels or Ryokan.
